Objective: Jedis will be able to peer edit rough drafts of the comparative essay for clear overall thesis/paragraph claims and verify that evidence/analysis that proves the overall thesis/paragraph claims.

  2. Created an outline in which you addressed the following prompt: The essays by Quindlen and Kennedy are similar in topic, but very different in diction and tone. Write an essay in which you consider how diction and tone reflect each author's purpose, audience, and message. Use vocab from the worksheets and from our Quizlet list as applicable.
  3. Written a first draft of your essay and had it peer-graded for thesis clarity and content using the Comparative Essay First Revision Rubric
