Getting Organized for Parent Conferences!

Objective: Jedis will record the Table of Contents, organize their binders, and bring them to parent conferences for review.

Agenda:
1. Meditation
2. Copy Table of Contents onto notebook paper (you can print your own later if you prefer it typed)
3. Pass back all graded papers
4. Organize notebooks
  • Turn in (Work in Progress):
    • Sentence Structure Paragraph with Self-graded Rubric (Draft and Revision 1)
    • A quilt of a Country (pg. 13-21)
    • Analyze craft and Structure (pg 31-36)
    • The immigrant Contribution (pg 23-30)
    • The immigrant Contribution TIEACs with Self graded Rubric
  • Reading Logs: Place Graded Reading Logs with newest on top
  • Course Information
    • Table of Contents
    • Vocabulary
    • Any other paper that was just giving you directions or expectations
  • Cornell Notes and Handouts:
    • Label each assignment with assignment number in the bottom right (according to Table of contents); if there was more than one handout for the assignment, put your most recent work on top and the reading or practice material behind it. Label all of the handouts for that assignment with the same number
      • For Systemic Racism TIEACs-- each revision will still be assignment 5, but the newest should be on top and the oldest in back. I would label the Rubric as follows
        • Systemic Racism in Miles Morales TIEAC Revision #___
  • Map
    • Most recent map on top.
      • Trials in front of the map it was a test for.
        • So right now:
          • Trial 3 (once you've taken it)
          • Central & South America Map
          • Trial 2 (will be passed back after the retest window closes on 10/29
          • North America Map
          • Trial 1 (passed back this week)
          • Continents, Regions, and Oceans
  • Unit Archives
    • Nothing should be in this tab yet
  • About 20 sheets of Paper

  • Vocab cards in pencil pouch or hole punched and held together with a ring and clipped into binder.
    • All materials in a pencil pouch
      • See Binder Expectations for anything I have not covered here.
